STXBP4 (Syntaxin Binding Protein 4), also known as Munc18-4, is a member of the STXBP (Syntaxin Binding Protein) family. It plays essential roles in regulated secretory pathways, particularly in neuroendocrine cells and immune cells.
STXBP4/Munc18-4 is a member of the SM (Sec1/Munc18) family of proteins that regulate SNARE complex formation and synaptic vesicle fusion.
